Calum started fencing at 11 and has been entranced with it ever since. He competed on the UK circuit and rose through the ranking and in 2017 broke into the sought after senior GB international team.

Since then he spent nearly 10 years in the much coveted GB tracksuit travelling the epee world and fencing in many places including Qatar, Hungary, France, Switzerland and Croatia. Calum won a bronze in the 2017 Croatia satellite and placed 2nd in the 2018 UK national championships, even making selection for the 2018 commonwealth games scoring a 9th place in the individual and 1st place in the team event for England.

Calum completed his coaching awards while he was competing and so after an eventful time traveling and fighting is very proud to pass on his experience and teaching people that fencing isn't complicated, its about balance, precision and knowing the results will come once the skill is cultivated.
